Chaos in Texas election
The dlection official running the primary elections in Dallas Tx knew that there was going to be alot more votersthis election cycle than 2006, but they still didn't do enough after seeing how many more voters in the other states had such long lines. When you voted early enough before 5:00pm you had shorter lines and the wait was not that long. But after 5:00pm, the time when most people leave from work to vote, the lines at the variou voting place were stretched around the block. The lines were so long that some people got tired of waiting and decide to leave and not vote. Then at the caucus, some of the building that they have used in past, which were okay to use back then, were so packed that people had to stand outside. The official had the nerve to say that they planned for the bigger crowds of voters, but from what I had seen and heard I don't they made any changes, even after seing how large the turnout of voters the previous states had. I saw earlier on the news how a few officials are saying that they made plans, but did not ever in their wildess dreams thing the number of voters would be as large as it got. |
